Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)

The Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) forest park, located in Selangor, was inscribed in 2025 as Malaysia’s sixth UNESCO world heritage site. It is the world’s oldest and largest man-made rainforest, recreated from severely devastated mining land, which is an exceptional testimony of the combined works of man and nature. Pioneering the use of innovative scientific and traditional management systems, it functions as a living laboratory for research and sustainable land rehabilitation.
