Penang Second Bridge

The 24km Penang Second Bridge was opened in 2014 connecting the southern east of the Island from Batu Maung to Batu Kawan, Seberang Prai mainland. We are the engineering consultant for the structural maintenance scheme and have carried out the underwater inspection and condition assessment of the entire underwater piles and viaducts structures. Such underwater bridge inspection was the first bridge conducted using ROV in Malaysia. Assessment was made on 292 piers, 49 viaducts and 2 main bridges for two main lines, East Bound (EB) and West Bound (WB) structures.
