Pulau Undan Light House

Located 25 kilometres off the coast of mainland Malacca, stands a lighthouse designed and built by Chance Brothers & Company of Birmingham in 1879, and completed in 1880 served as a navigational beacon for vessels travelling along the Strait. Constructed of masonry, the lighthouse features an octagonal cylindrical form that accommodates the lantern and gallery, and is connected to a single-storey keeper’s house. This historic lighthouse remains operational today, complemented by a newer concrete cylindrical communications tower—three times its height—constructed beside it.
